National Action Plan for the Identification and Treatment of Children in Street Situations

On June 11th and 12th, 2024, the National Coordinator Against Human Trafficking, in collaboration with Terre des Hommes in Kosovo, organized a two-day workshop to finalize the National Action Plan for the identification and treatment of children in street situations, including begging children and school dropouts (2024-2025).

The National Action Plan is a political, strategic, and professional document that aims to address the challenges faced by children in street situations through the commitment and coordination of responses from both central and local institutions across Kosovo.

This comprehensive document outlines various objectives and detailed activities designed to prevent, protect, treat, and reintegrate children and their families in street situations, begging children, and school dropouts. The completion of the plan, along with its objectives and activities, will be achieved by considering the challenges identified by working group members, reports from previous years, and the latest study conducted by the UNICEF office in Kosovo.

This activity is being implemented as part of the project "Protection of Vulnerable Children in Kosovo", financially supported by the EU Office in Kosovo and implemented by UNICEF in Kosovo in partnership with Terre des Hommes.
